Our fragrancess are crafted for those who believe a candle is more than decoration, its atmosphere. Every collection is a unique take on the experience of storytelling through flame!

The name Parlour 1926 pays homage to one of the defining eras of Black artistic excellence: the Harlem Renainssance. A movement that forever changed American culture through literature, music, intellect, and art. That season of extraordinary creativity redefined what Black excellence could look like.

Parlours became sacred gathering spaces where ideas were exchanged, culture was shaped, and spirits were lifted. Parlour 1926 exists to honor that sacred space and usher that same spirit into the modern space. Each collection celebrates the richness, beauty, and boldness that continues to shape Black artistry today.

The Parlour doesn't ask, "what should this candle smell like?", instead we ask, "what should this room feel like?" Every fragrance is built to create an experience. Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using an in-house soy blend wax crafted for a clean burn and optimal fragrance performance. Our scents are layered and blended for depth and character.

The Parlour Ritual

Every Parlour candle is designed to be experienced. A few simple practices in your ritual will help your candle perform at its very best.

LIGHT & LISTEN. Remember, each Parlour scent comes with a curated playlist. Light the wick, scan the QR code and let the vibes take over.

The FIRST LIGHT sets the tone for your Parlour experience. Upon delivery, allow your candle to reach room temperature before burning. Once lit, allow the wax to melt to a full liquid pool on the surface. This usually takes 2-4 hours and helps ensure an even burn for the life of the candle.

To TEND THE FLAME, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch before each light. A well-kept wick produces a clean flame and steady glow.

LUXURY IS NEVER RUSHED. Parlour fragrances are meant to unfold over time. We recommend burning for no more than 4 hours at a time, and allowing your candle to cool completely before each burn.

ATMOSPHERE IS EVERYTHING. Burn your candle in an open space free of fans, curtains, and direct sunlight. Drafts can cause uneven burning and excess flickering. Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface for a safe burn.

The FINAL BURN is as important as the first. When approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains, it may be time to place another reservation to continue your Parlour experience.

MIND THE FLAME. Never leave a candle burning unattended, and please keep away from children, pets, and flammable items.

The Sango collection is the beginning of the Parlour 1926 story. A debut of five signature scents exploring fire through scent. This collection is inspired y the Yoruba deity of fire and celebrates the power and history of fire and flame. The collection explores heat as memory, movement, and creative expression. Each fragrance establishes a distinct mood while sharing a common thread. The collection features soft notes of cashmere and vanilla, stronger tones of oud and leather, and everything in between.
